Known limitations

Hot spots are sensor pixels, not fire perimeters; a detection locates a pixel footprint, not a flame front.
Polar-orbiting satellites revisit a point a few times per day; fires start and move between passes.
Cloud, smoke, and canopy can hide fires; small or cool fires can go undetected.
Gas flares, solar reflections, and hot industrial surfaces can produce false positives.
Perimeter and red-flag layers here are placeholders; production sources are NIFC and NWS.
This prototype is not an operational tool and must not inform evacuation or suppression decisions.
